Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
• Create a welcoming environment by responding to resident needs and requests
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to ensure safety

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
• Active or eligible for CNA listing/registration in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or willing to obtain
• Minimum clinical experience caring for adults in long-term care or acute settings preferred
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and personal assistance skills
• Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observations
• Safe patient handling and infection prevention techniques
• Charting and basic electronic health record familiarity
• Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
