Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Measure and record vital signs, and promptly report any changes to the nursing team
• Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for patients and families
• Accurately document care provided and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect patients and staff
• Engage with residents to promote dignity, independence, and emotional well-being

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — active and in good standing
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable providing direct patient care and assisting with mobility
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Ability to pass background and health screenings as required by facility

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in basic patient care tasks: bathing, feeding, toileting, and grooming
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with charting and basic electronic health record entry
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety principles
• Good time management skills and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Compassionate interpersonal skills for resident- and family-centered care
