Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
- Assist nursing staff with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team clearly
- Document care thoroughly and follow facility policies and infection control protocols
- Build trusting relationships with patients and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and assisting with ADLs
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in a long-term care or similar setting preferred but not required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient safety practices
- Skill in taking vital signs and observing/reporting changes
- Understanding of infection control and proper PPE use
- Ability to document care accurately in paper or electronic records
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams
