Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate basic nursing care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility while promoting dignity and independence
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
- Document care provided in accordance with facility policy and standards
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (active registry preferred)
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts and adapt to facility scheduling
- Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
- Up-to-date immunizations and any facility-required health screenings
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and comfort measures
- Experienced in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
- Teamwork, time management, and dependable attendance
