Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Document caregiving activities clearly and accurately to support continuity of care
- Work as a team member to create a warm, safe environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Connecticut
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Clear documentation and communication with clinical teams
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Teamwork and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
