Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient status, and progress accurately
- Support nursing staff with treatments and timely communication of patient needs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
- Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and ensure continuity of care
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, kind communication
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts as part of the facility schedule
- Active healthcare provider BLS/CPR is preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable completing facility onboarding, background checks, and health screenings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic nursing care and assistance with ADLs
- Able to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and attention to detail
- Good infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
