Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct, compassionate patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Assist with activities of daily living while promoting patient dignity and comfort
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to reduce risk
Collaborate with nurses and care team members to follow care plans and deliver consistent care
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required by facility
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to the facility schedule
Pass background check and meet facility health requirements (TB test, immunizations)
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
Taking and accurately recording vital signs
Infection control and safety protocols
Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
Basic documentation and charting of patient information
