Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate basic nursing care and assist patients with daily living activities
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe and comfortable patient transfers and positioning
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care
- Document care accurately and timely to support quality patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state-required credential; Georgia certification preferred or eligible)
- Demonstrated ability to work 12+ hour shifts and adapt to unit needs
- Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and personal care
- Willingness to complete background checks and facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care procedures and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control and hand hygiene best practices
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Team collaboration and clear communication with nursing staff
