Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, putting dignity first
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in resident charts
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Collaborate with nurses and care team members to deliver excellent care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification for Pennsylvania (required)
- CPR/BLS certification required or must obtain upon hire
- Previous CNA experience preferred, but enthusiastic new grads are welcome
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Reliable, compassionate, and a team player with good communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident care
- Comfortable taking vital signs and observing/reporting patient changes
- Strong interpersonal skills and a resident-first mindset
- Basic documentation skills; experience with electronic charting is a plus
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks on shift
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
