Location: Honolulu, HI
Start Date: 04-10-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (acute care). Exact start/end times and specific days to be confirmed with scheduling team.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide attentive direct patient care in an acute care setting with compassion and professionalism
- Assist nursing staff with activities of daily living, mobility, and patient comfort
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the clinical team
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established care plans and protocols
- Support infection control practices, safe patient handling, and unit safety standards
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other team members to deliver coordinated care
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to explain care activities and provide reassurance
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification required
- State authorization to practice in Hawaii or ability to obtain required state credentials
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Prior acute care experience preferred but new grads with acute care orientation are welcome
- Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental patient care skills and comfort with bedside assistance
- Accurate vital signs collection and documentation practices
- Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
- Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills
