Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care in an acute care setting
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support the interdisciplinary team by communicating patient needs and observations
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control protocols
- Help prepare patients for procedures and assist with safe transfers
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per facility policy)
- Comfort with 12.5-hour acute care shifts and the physical demands of patient care
- Ability to follow care plans, document accurately, and communicate effectively
- Previous acute care or hospital experience preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fundamental nursing assistant skills and patient-centered care
- Familiarity with vital sign measurement and documentation
- Basic knowledge of infection prevention and safety procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize patient needs
