Location: Honolulu, HI
Start Date: 04-25-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (acute care). Specific start/end times and assigned days are not specified in the posting and will be provided during scheduling.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to patients in an acute care setting, maintaining dignity and comfort
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Support nursing staff with treatments, specimen collection, and safe patient transfers
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and facility protocols
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Hawaii (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain promptly
- Experience or comfort working in an acute care environment is preferred
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with basic patient care tasks and ADLs
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety best practices
- Ability to work effectively on a fast-paced acute care team
- Detail-oriented with good time management and teamwork skills
