Certified Nursing Assistant - Skilled Nursing
Location: Orwigsburg, PA
Start Date: 04-04-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; exact days and start/end times to be confirmed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support safe transfer and mobility practices to promote independence
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
- Document care accurately and timely, contributing to high-quality resident records
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is a plus
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved CNA program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental resident care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital signs monitoring and observation skills
- Infection control and safety practices
- Team collaboration and following care plans
- Positive interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
