Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Lancaster, PA
Start Date: 04-12-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, 8-hour shifts (exact start and end times vary by assignment)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
- Accurately document care and observations in facility records
- Support teamwork by participating in shift handoffs and care planning
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained shortly after hire
- Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required health checks
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and personal care tasks
- Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate attitude
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CNA certification (state-specific)
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and infection control
- Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Comfortable with ADLs, transfers, and safe patient handling
- Basic charting and record-keeping skills
- Good teamwork, time management, and prioritization
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes promptly
