Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and support to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Assist the care team with safe transfers and positioning to prevent injury
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
• Help create a comforting environment and support residents’ emotional needs and family communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA preferred)
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Comfort with night shift work and per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings
• Reliable transportation to and from the Gettysburg Center

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and basic nursing procedures
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observation
• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Basic charting/recordkeeping and clear communication
• Compassionate interpersonal skills for patient- and family-centered care
