Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including hygiene, mobility assistance, and comfort measures
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Assist nursing staff with ADLs and restorative care to promote patient independence
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning while following facility safety protocols
• Document patient observations and care provided in a clear and timely manner
• Communicate effectively with nurses, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by being attentive, respectful, and professional

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous hands-on patient care experience is a plus but new CNAs with strong training are welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work nights and lift/assist patients as required by role
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with basic clinical skills such as taking vitals and measuring intake/output
• Solid understanding of patient safety, infection control, and documentation standards
• Good observational skills to notice changes in patient condition
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced care environment
• Friendly bedside manner and ability to provide emotional support to patients and families
