Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and support activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and mobility needs
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient condition changes accurately
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate updates to nursing staff
• Follow infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment for residents
• Support patient dignity and emotional needs while fostering a positive atmosphere

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state certification required or eligible)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus but not always required
• Ability to pass required background checks, screenings, and health requirements
• Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with activities of daily living (ADLs) and safe patient transfers
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with patients and interdisciplinary staff
• Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety protocols
• Basic charting/documentation skills and attention to detail
