Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document resident condition and communicate changes to the care team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and positioning
• Support meal assistance, hygiene, and grooming while preserving resident dignity
• Follow individualized care plans and contribute to a collaborative team approach
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — state of Pennsylvania
• Current basic life support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or required by employer
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility for diverse resident needs
• Demonstrated empathy, reliability, and strong communication skills
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience a plus

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of activities of daily living and basic nursing procedures
• Able to observe, document, and report changes in resident condition
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
• Basic infection control practices and safe patient handling principles
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
