Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility needs
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
- Document resident care and observations thoroughly and timely
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
- Support residents’ dignity and independence through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of CNA program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic patient care and activities of daily living
- Comfortable with resident transfers and safe lifting techniques
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection prevention and control practices
- Basic documentation and charting skills
- Teamwork, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills
