Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document resident condition and care provided accurately and promptly
- Assist with mobility, transfers and safe use of equipment to protect residents and staff
- Support nursing staff with timely communication of changes in patient status
- Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through patient-centered interactions
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working as part of a multidisciplinary care team
- Strong communication and compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to pass any required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and current state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care skills including bathing, grooming and feeding
- Vital signs monitoring and documentation
- Safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Familiarity with resident rights, privacy and dignity standards
- Teamwork, time management and observational skills to spot changes in condition
