Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including hygiene, mobility assistance, and basic comfort measures
• Assist nursing staff with daily living activities to promote dignity and independence
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly and accurately
• Support safe transfers and proper use of equipment to minimize risk and injury
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document care activities clearly and honestly to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-required credential)
• Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain state certification
• Comfortable working in a skilled nursing environment and assisting with physical care tasks
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background checks, and required health screenings
• Reliable, punctual, and able to communicate effectively with residents and team members

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care skills: bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Basic observation skills for reporting changes in condition
• Knowledge of infection control and safe handling procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, patient-centered approach
• Ability to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
