Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Perform imaging in the OR, ED, inpatient units, and via portable radiography with confidence
• Evaluate images for technical quality and make adjustments to optimize diagnostic value
• Provide trauma radiography support in high-acuity situations with calm and accuracy
• Float between departments when needed to ensure consistent patient coverage
• Work with students from local programs, performing competency check-offs and supervision
• Maintain mask fit and adhere to safety and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care and timely imaging results

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Graduated from a JRCERT/ARRT accredited program
• Minimum 1 year level 1 trauma experience, or 2-3 years at a large-bed trauma level 2 facility
• Comfortable and experienced with OR, ED, inpatient, and portable imaging
• Willingness to learn pediatric and neonatal imaging
• Experience with EPIC and Sectra EMR systems preferred
• Mask fit required and ability to float between departments

Education

• Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient operating radiologic and fluoroscopic imaging systems
• Skilled at evaluating image technical quality and troubleshooting imaging factors
• Experience with GE, Philips, and CareStream imaging equipment
• Trauma radiography expertise and ability to work under urgent conditions
• Familiarity with EPIC and Sectra for image workflow and documentation
• Comfort supervising students and performing competency evaluations
• Ability to adapt across OR, ED, inpatient, and portable settings
