Roles & Responsibilities

• Prep and screen patients appropriately for imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images to support accurate physician diagnoses
• Explain procedures clearly and perform radiologic exams with age-appropriate communication
• Assess patient pain and collaborate with physicians when imaging is impacted by clinical status
• Deliver compassionate patient care while following safety protocols to minimize errors
• Maintain image quality and equipment readiness through proper operation and basic troubleshooting
• Document procedures and maintain compliance with continuing education and licensure requirements

Qualifications

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Radiography (required)
• ARRT certification in CT (required or willing to be trained per posting)
• Current BCLS/BLS certification (required)
• NH License of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (required)
• NH MIRT (New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy) must be in-hand
• 2 years of imaging experience preferred but candidates with 0-2 years may be considered
• Bachelor of Science degree preferred (but not required)
• Current compliance with continuing education credit requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography and CT imaging techniques and protocols
• Patient preparation, positioning, and safety practices
• Strong patient communication and age-appropriate explanations
• Ability to assess clinical situations and escalate concerns appropriately
• Familiarity with diagnostic imaging equipment and image quality assessment
• Knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and documentation standards
