Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy
Location: Eureka, CA
Start Date: 03-23-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Day (5x8). Note: weekend coverage required per contract (all weekends), on-call and floating between like units as needed.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality fluoroscopy and radiographic exams with patient safety and comfort as priorities
- Administer and prepare contrast media following protocol and safety guidelines
- Start peripheral IVs when required for contrast administration
- Operate and troubleshoot PACS and modality equipment (GE, Toshiba) to ensure timely image delivery
- Document exams and patient interactions accurately in Epic charting system
- Conduct portable imaging and C-arm procedures in OR, ICU and bedside settings
- Execute enema, barium swallow and upper GI studies with attention to technique and patient positioning
- Float between like units and respond to on-call requests to support department coverage
Qualifications
- Active California Radiologic Technologist license (required; pending licenses not accepted)
- Current ARRT(R) registration (ARRT R) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Fluoroscopy permit / fluoro certification required
- Minimum 1 year of radiography/fluoroscopy experience (community hospital experience required)
- Comfortable charting in Epic and using PACS; experience with GE and Toshiba equipment preferred
- Willingness to float between similar units, take on-call shifts and provide weekend coverage
- First-time travelers accepted — enthusiasm and a willingness to learn welcomed
Knowledge & Skills
- Fluoroscopy and general radiography techniques
- Contrast media preparation and administration
- Starting peripheral IVs for contrast studies
- PACS image management and workflow
- Epic electronic charting and documentation
- Enema studies, barium enema (air & single contrast), barium swallow, upper GI series
- Portable imaging and C-arm procedure proficiency
- Familiarity with GE and Toshiba imaging systems and Fuji Synapse (preferred)
