Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Perform MRI exams following established protocols and safety procedures, including patient screening and MRI safety checks
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care — position, coach, and support patients throughout imaging procedures
• Collaborate closely with tech aides, fellow MRI technologists, and clinical teams — you will never work solo
• Document exams and maintain accurate patient records in Meditech Expanse and PACS
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed and respond professionally to after-hours coverage
• Maintain equipment and report issues promptly to ensure continuous, reliable service
• Adhere to ARRT and AHA BLS standards and keep certifications current

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CURRENT Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) experience (required)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) — MR certification (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Experience with GE equipment, specifically GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 (required)
• Meditech Expanse experience (highly preferred)
• Traveler must have their own vehicle and include permanent address in profile
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years (required)
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and take call as needed
• All requested time off must be declared at submission; facility will not approve RTO after offer

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of MRI safety principles and patient screening procedures
• Proficiency operating GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI platforms
• Strong patient positioning and imaging protocol skills across a range of studies
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse and PACS for ordering, documenting, and retrieving images
• Ability to manage high patient volumes (approximately 9 patients/shift) while maintaining quality
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; comfort working with tech aides and cross-functional teams
• Troubleshooting skills for routine MRI equipment and scanning issues
