Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care overnight, including labor management, deliveries, postpartum care, and triage
• Manage gynecologic consults for acute issues during nocturnist shifts
• Perform urgent assessments and interventions for obstetric and gynecologic patients overnight
• Handle emergency obstetric situations with rapid response for maternal or fetal complications
• Collaborate closely with a team of OB/GYN physicians, APPs, and multispecialty colleagues to ensure safe, coordinated care
• Document all patient interactions, procedures, and consults in Epic EMR accurately and promptly
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols in the OB unit
• Support training and mentoring of residents or APPs during nocturnist shifts and contribute to effective handoffs

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/GYN (physician-level qualification required)
• Demonstrated experience in inpatient obstetric care, labor management, deliveries, postpartum care, and triage
• Comfort and competence managing emergency obstetric scenarios and urgent gynecologic consults
• Proficiency with Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
• Visa sponsorship not available (No J-1 or H-1B visas accepted)
• Not accepting Locums candidates

Education

• MD or DO (physician degree)
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in labor management and delivery care
• Skilled in postpartum care and triage assessment
• Ability to manage gynecologic consults and urgent interventions
• Familiarity with emergency obstetric management and rapid response protocols
• Experience using Epic EMR for inpatient documentation
• Engagement in quality improvement practices and safety-minded care
• Effective handoffs, clear communication, and mentoring skills
