Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — Pennsylvania preferred or eligible
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced long-term care or skilled nursing environment

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient-focused care and compassionate bedside manner
• Solid vital signs and basic clinical observation skills
• Good communication and teamwork with nurses and allied staff
• Understanding of infection prevention and HIPAA confidentiality
• Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
