Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality PCU nursing care for telemetry and post-procedure patients, monitoring trends and intervening early
• Manage IV infusions and titrations safely, including gtts and hemodynamic monitoring
• Perform post cath lab and post EP lab patient care, including sheath site assessment and management
• Utilize Cerner to document patient assessments, treatments, and care plans accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Serve as a calm, flexible presence on shift, adapting to changing patient acuity and unit needs
• Support charge duties when needed, helping the unit run smoothly and safely

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (state licensure for North Carolina required or compact RN as applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience in PCU/telemetry, med-surg, or step-down settings
• Familiarity with Cerner or other electronic medical records
• Comfortable with IV infusion management, sheath care, and post cath/EP procedures
• Charge experience is preferred
