Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic interventions under the direction of the Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans that support functional progress
- Document treatments clearly, accurately, and on time to ensure continuity of care
- Communicate effectively with the OT, interdisciplinary team, and patient families to coordinate care
- Ensure compliance with facility, state, and federal guidelines to maintain high standards
- Contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered rehab environment that prioritizes outcomes and dignity
Qualifications
- Active COTA license in California (required)
- SNF or rehab experience preferred; new grads are welcome for contract roles
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to providing quality patient care
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of therapeutic interventions used in skilled nursing and rehab settings
- Skilled documentation and timely charting practices
- Effective interdisciplinary communication and family engagement
- Ability to follow individualized treatment plans and clinical direction
- Familiarity with facility, state, and federal compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
