Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert neonatal nursing care in the NICU, delivering compassionate, family-centered support
• Perform thorough infant assessments and ongoing monitoring of neonatal patients
• Manage IV lines, central lines support, and administer medications safely
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory support equipment and participate in respiratory management
• Lead and participate in neonatal resuscitation (NRP) when required
• Document care promptly and accurately in Meditech and CPN EMR systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
• Float to General Nursery and Pediatrics with infant assignments when needed

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Minimum two years of NICU experience (required)
• Current NRP and BLS certifications (required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR (preferred)
• Comfortable with high-acuity Level 3/4 neonatal care
• Procedural experience preferred: central line placement support, lumbar puncture, circumcision, neonatal eye exams
• Strong communication, teamwork skills, and a focus on parent satisfaction and patient safety
• Charge nurse or HCA experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Neonatal resuscitation and emergency response (NRP)
• Infant assessment and developmental care
• IV and central line management
• Respiratory support modalities and monitoring
• Meditech & CPN EMR documentation
• Procedural familiarity: LP, central lines, circumcision, neonatal eye exams
• Ability to prioritize in variable patient ratios (1:1 to 1:4)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and family-centered care approach
