Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care to patients during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and changes in condition
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers efficiently and with empathy
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and handoffs
• Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to provide reassurance and education

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN license (able to practice in Rhode Island or hold an appropriate compact license)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Travel nursing experience preferred but motivated new travelers welcome
• Comfortable working night shifts and every-other-weekend schedule
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding checks

Education

• LPN: Vocational diploma or LPN certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Experience with electronic medical record systems
• IV therapy and basic wound care knowledge
• Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
