Location: Northridge, California

Start Date: 07-28-2026

End Date: 10-27-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts available: 6:45am-3:15pm, 2:45pm-11:15pm, or 10:45pm-7:15am (rotating evenings/nights/weekends with call)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures
Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during a variety of cases including ortho, trauma, neuro, and robotics
Ensure proper handling and sterilization of instruments according to protocol
Participate in call rotations to support emergency surgeries
Collaborate with the OR team to provide safe, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

2+ years of recent OR Tech experience required
Current BLS certification
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
Experience with trauma, ortho, and general surgery cases
Travel experience preferred but not required
Comfortable working independently on night shifts when needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in sterile technique and aseptic practice
Proficiency with Cerner SurgiNet charting system
Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment (Da Vinci, steris, sterad)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt quickly to different cases and surgeons
