Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, swallowing and communication needs using evidence-based tools
• Develop individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered therapy sessions and track progress
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and families to ensure coordinated care
• Document evaluations, treatment plans and progress notes accurately in the EHR
• Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing
• Participate in team meetings and contribute clinical expertise to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathology license valid in California
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Clinical experience in evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
• Strong documentation skills and comfort using electronic health records
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team player mindset

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent (required)
• ASHA CCC-SLP (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in standardized and informal assessment tools for speech, language and cognition
• Experience with dysphagia evaluation and management
• Familiarity with AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) strategies
• Ability to create measurable treatment goals and track outcomes
• Competence delivering therapy across pediatric and/or adult populations as assigned
• Comfort collaborating in an interdisciplinary healthcare environment
