Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations for geriatric patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals to improve patient outcomes
- Deliver evidence-based therapy and adjust interventions based on progress and interdisciplinary input
- Document clinical findings and progress clearly and timely in the facility EMR
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy team members, and families to support safe discharge planning
- Provide education and training to caregivers and staff on strategies to support communication and swallowing
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- State of Georgia SLP license or ability to obtain licensure in Georgia
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or eligibility to pursue certification
- Experience working with geriatric populations and dysphagia management preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background checks, and immunization requirements
Education
- Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment skills across speech, language, cognition, and swallowing
- Proficiency in developing goal-driven, evidence-based treatment plans
- Experience with dysphagia evaluation and management, including diet recommendations
- Excellent interdisciplinary communication and caregiver education skills
- Comfortable with clinical documentation and basic EMR navigation
- Ability to adapt therapy to varied cognitive levels and functional needs
