Shift Type: Day shifts, Full Time (days). Specific start/end times not provided; schedule is day-focused with required travel to regional sites as needed
Bill Rate: $25,000 sign-on; $10,000 relocation

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead infection prevention and control program development, implementation, and maintenance across the SEARHC system
- Conduct surveillance, analyze infection data, and prepare timely reports for NHSN and regulatory agencies
- Translate regulatory requirements (CDC, CMS, OSHA, FDA, TJC) into practical policies and staff education
- Design and deliver infection prevention education and training for staff, patients, families, and communities
- Chair the IPC committee and provide oversight of the Employee Health program
- Serve as a regional resource—assess sites, coach staff, and support performance improvement initiatives
- Ensure timely reporting and documentation to meet CMS and other regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current, full, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or another U.S. state required (Direct hire must have applied for Alaska license before start; agency staff must hold an active Alaska license)
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field required (nursing, public health, epidemiology, microbiology, or similar); Master's (MPH, MSN) preferred
- Certification in Infection Control and Prevention (CIC) required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) current within 3 months of hire and maintained biannually
- Minimum 3 years acute care and/or infection control experience and/or data collection and performance improvement/risk management experience
- Demonstrated experience with basic statistics and epidemiologic principles; Long-Term Care experience a plus
- Clinical and Manager competency assessments completed within required timeframes
Education
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, microbiology, or similar required
- Master's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of epidemiology, infectious disease, and APIC guidelines
- Proficient with data collection, trending, analysis, and NHSN reporting
- Strong skills in policy development, program management, and regulatory interpretation
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office and database applications)
- Excellent communication skills for multicultural audiences and health-literacy-aware education
- Ability to lead committees, supervise staff, and drive performance improvement
