Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
Triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately based on physical and psychosocial needs
Communicate effectively with ER physicians, mid-level providers, and the care team about patient status changes
Respond quickly to patient condition changes or treatment responses
Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, allied health staff, and direct emergency techs and registration staff

Qualifications

Current MT State RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC required or obtained within 6 months of hire
2 years ER experience required

Education

Degree from an accredited nursing program required
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency Department nursing principles and procedures
IV skills
Assessment skills
Basic office skills and computer knowledge
Ability to operate manual and electronic medical equipment
