Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in the acute care hospital to craft personalized care plans that truly make a difference
• Apply specialized therapy techniques to improve mobility and function, changing lives one session at a time
• Coordinate therapeutic care across a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless patient progress
• Communicate vital evaluation results with patients, families, and staff to foster optimal outcomes
• Navigate unit-to-unit treatments in single-patient rooms, leveraging top-notch equipment for safe, effective care

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy
• Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy
• BLS certification
• At least 2 years of experience, with acute care preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong foundation in acute care procedures, especially orthopedics, neurology, and cardiopulmonary
• Proficiency with patient lifting equipment like SARA+, Stedy, and Maximove
• Comfortable in dynamic environments, treating patients room-to-room in a 735-bed facility
• Experience with Cerner Power Chart documentation system
