Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to medical/surgical patients requiring advanced monitoring
Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, A-lines, multiple IV pumps, and ventilatory support
Care for general medical and surgical patients on the inpatient unit from admission to discharge
Assess and implement policies and procedures with minimal supervision
Act as a clinical leader, precepting staff and providing direction to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support teams

Qualifications

Current State of Montana RN Licensure
BLS certification
ACLS certification
Practice in an advanced Medical/Surgical Unit
Recent Critical Care Nursing experience
PALS, EPNC, TNCC certifications preferred

Education

Degree Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced Nursing Principles and Procedures
Operation of advanced medical equipment including A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, and ventilatory support
Use of multiple IV pumps
Use of basic office equipment
