Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care and treatments for neonatal and pediatric patients using advanced modalities
• Operate and manage specialty ventilators and devices (3100A, Bunnell, Servo ventilators, high flow devices)
• Administer and monitor therapies such as continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, BIPAP and standard nebulizer therapy
• Perform assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing evaluation to optimize patient respiratory outcomes
• Accurately document care and clinical changes in the Meditech system
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams — physicians, nurses, and allied staff — to coordinate patient-centered care
• Provide cross-coverage support for adult units when required, maintaining safety and treatment standards

Qualifications

• Active RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) — required
• BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications — must have
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience — required
• Current NICU/PICU experience is an advanced skill and preferred
• Meditech experience preferred by leadership
• Team-player mindset, strong critical thinking, adaptable in fast-paced environments

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with neonatal/pediatric respiratory care and ventilator management
• Experience with high flow devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo ventilators
• Skilled in BIPAP, continuous nebulizers, and medication delivery systems
• Familiarity with Nitric Oxide and Heliox therapy
• Accurate clinical documentation using Meditech
• Ability to float and provide respiratory coverage across different patient populations
