Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days not provided) — RN - SDU
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to step-down unit (SDU) patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor telemetry and vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Document patient care, changes, and interventions clearly and timely
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or eligibility (Louisiana licensure expected)
- Clinical experience or interest in step-down/telemetry or progressive care settings
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) encouraged or preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient prioritization skills
- Reliable, professional, and compassionate approach to patient care
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Patient assessment and clinical judgment in acute or progressive care
- IV medication administration and infusion pump familiarity
- Clear, timely documentation and electronic health record usage
- Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
