Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays based on rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Manage a diverse patient population including medical/surgical, cardiac, and stroke cases
Titrate and monitor critical drips such as heparin, insulin, and octreotide
Collaborate with charge nurses, techs, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes
Interpret telemetry and respond to changes in patient status swiftly

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required
Must pass an open-book exam on skills during orientation with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry
Experience with titrating IV drips (heparin, insulin, etc.)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work in a high-flow unit with frequent admissions and discharges
Team-oriented mindset and adaptability to floating to other units as needed
