Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients on a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit.
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as needed.
Perform hourly rounding and ensure patient safety and comfort.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers.
Float to med/surg and other PCU units as needed to support the team.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology experience required.
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state.
BLS and ACLS certifications required; ONS/ONCC preferred.
Chemotherapy certification preferred, but not required.
EPIC experience within 6 months preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000).
Experience with Alaris IV pumps and EPIC EMR.
Strong understanding of oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration.
Ability to care for diverse patient populations with respect and cultural sensitivity.
