Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Perform comprehensive assessments and continuous EEG monitoring for stroke and cardiac patients
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the unit
Mentor and support fellow nurses with a positive attitude and strong communication skills

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submittal
Minimum 2 years of PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required for verification of 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Experience with cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring
Comfortable with a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
