Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every 3rd weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators and other life-support equipment
Collaborate with neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
Perform and assist with procedures such as central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions, maintaining strict sterile field
Educate and support families, providing compassionate guidance during their infant's hospitalization
Serve as a resource for high-risk deliveries and transport stabilization as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Previous travel experience strongly preferred
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Cardiac STABLE certification preferred
Ability to pass SIMs Lab skills including sterile technique

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Telemetry monitoring (Phillips)
Neonatal resuscitation and ventilator management
Sterile field techniques for invasive procedures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to float to Mother Baby and Labor Care (baby only)
