Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage a 1:4-5 patient load in a fast-paced PCU, caring for adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Monitor and titrate drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and assess for neurological changes
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support team efforts

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license and ability to reside outside 50-mile radius from Omaha facility
Previous PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating cardiac and seizure medications
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with high-acuity patients
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
