Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to a diverse patient population in Med-Surg and Telemetry units across multiple facilities in Zone 1
• Float seamlessly between Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More as needed
• Titrate heparin drips and manage telemetry monitoring for cardiac patients
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to varying unit assignments, including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
• Maintain thorough documentation and uphold safety and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Prior neuro experience highly preferred
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (NLC)
• Must be willing to float within a 60-mile zone without a home base facility
• Comfortable with flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong MS-Tele clinical skills with ability to manage cardiac drips like heparin
• Excellent adaptability and floating across different units and facilities
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia recognition
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Competent in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS protocols
