Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on a Med Surg/Ortho unit
Manage post-operative orthopedic patients, including total joint replacements and spine surgeries
Administer medications, IV therapies, and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge plans
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS certification required
At least 1 year of recent Med Surg or Ortho experience
Driver's license required to verify 50-mile radius rule
Willingness to float to MedSurg, rehab, or PCU as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented mindset
Flexibility and adaptability to changing patient assignments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn and take ownership of patient care
