Roles & Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to outpatient cardiology patients following established standards and best practices
Assist providers and clinic staff in coordinating patient care and smooth clinic flow
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication
Perform and interpret EKGs and monitor for cardiac arrhythmias, escalating concerns appropriately
Administer cardiac medications and support related procedures with attention to safety and accuracy
Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, medications, and follow-up care to empower better outcomes
Document patient interactions, treatments, and care plans accurately in the medical record

Qualifications

MT RN licensure required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
Basic coronary class required
Minimum: 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred

Education

Graduate of a nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmias
Familiarity with cardiac medications and related procedures
Solid foundation in basic nursing principles and patient care coordination
Comfortable with medical terminology, basic office tasks, and key boarding skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
