Location: Tacoma, Washington

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Friday-Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (NOC shift, no on-call)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care for a wide range of surgical cases including neuro, spine, ortho, vascular, thoracic, general, trauma, gyn, urology, ENT, robotics, and plastics
Scrub and circulate in a fast-paced 11-suite OR handling 30-40 cases daily
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Utilize Epic EMR to document patient care accurately and efficiently
Float to Walters unit as needed to support hospital operations

Qualifications

2+ years of recent OR experience required
Trauma experience required to handle complex cases
Robotics experience (DaVinci) is a must
Proven ability to scrub for surgical procedures
Active RN license and BLS certification from AHA
Epic experience required for charting
COVID-19 vaccine required (or approved exemption)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong surgical aseptic technique and sterile field management
Expertise in perioperative patient assessment, monitoring, and advocacy
Ability to prioritize and multitask in high-acuity surgical settings
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with robotic surgery systems and instrumentation
