Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality direct patient care during overnight MST shifts
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the EHR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (California) or eligible for California licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
- Experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently during night shifts
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Confidence with IV medication administration and common inpatient procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize acuity during overnight hours
- Good communication skills for handoffs and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Basic telemetry/monitoring knowledge helpful for MST units
